Nabeel Zuhdi

Nabeel began his classical guitar training in 1989 at the national conservatory of Syria in his hometown of Damascas, graduating in 1997. After graduating from high school in 2000, he earned a Bachelor's degree in Environmental and Applied Geology in 2005 from the University of Jordan, Amman, and won the Moyen-Guitare lère mèdaille ascendante (the first medal of the middle stage in guitar performance) from both the National Conservatory of Jordan, Amman, and Conservatoire National de Region Ville de Boulogne-Billancourt, France. Nabeel has been a classical guitar teacher and performer since 2003. Currently, he is working on a Master's degree in classical guitar performance at the University of North Texas, Denton. Nabeel is currently conducting the first computer-based survey specifically investigating the musculoskeletal pain and performance anxiety experienced by classical guitarists. He hopes his study will form the base for future studies that are interested in classical guitar playing-related injuries.
